    Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Reveals Free Update, PS5 & Xbox Series X|S Versions

    The future of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is here.

    Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that a major free update is coming to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on October 12, and fans may look forward to native PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game as well. In addition, a new content roadmap for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 was revealed. 

    Earlier this week, Bandai Namco encouraged fans to stay tuned for more Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 news. New Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 artwork was shown as Bandai Namco teased fans about an announcement for the game’s seventh anniversary. The announcement has been made, and it’s bigger than many fans could have anticipated. 

    Major Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Update

    Bandai Namco confirms the “Big Free Update” for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 launches on October 12. This new update includes the all-new “Festival of Universes” event, which appears to draw inspiration from Dragon Ball Super’s Tournament of Power arc. A new Battle Mode called “Cross Versus” will also be available. Moreover, the update brings Ultra Instinct as an Awoken Skill, Avatar Level Cap Unlock, feature improvements, a login bonus campaign, and free limited-time DLC character trials. 

    A new roadmap for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 confirms that PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game will be released in 2024. Additionally, new DLC will be available with additional scenarios, playable characters, and other forms of content throughout the year. Bandai Namco teases that more will come beyond 2024, but further details were not revealed just yet.

    Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Update and 2024 Roadmap

    A new Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi game, which is currently in development at Bandai Namco, is expected to launch in 2024 at the earliest. The reveal trailer showed Goku powering up to his Super Saiyan Blue transformation from Dragon Ball Super. The new game was recently trademarked with the Sparking! Zero title by Bandai Namco in the US. 

    Lastly, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
