Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Announcement Teased With New Art

    The game's seventh anniversary approaches.

Bandai Namco Entertainment is teasing an announcement of some kind involving Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as the game approaches its seventh anniversary. Teaser artwork was shown just a few days prior to a major Dragon Ball panel happening at New York Comic Con 2023.

In May 2023, the “Hero of Justice” DLC Pack 2 introduced playable characters Orange Piccolo and Beast Gohan from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. This was the latest major DLC release for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, but the game continues to receive updates and limited-time events. An announcement is seemingly on the way as Bandai Namco encourages fans to stay tuned.

A Potential Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Announcement

Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball Games Twitter account teases Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 players to stay tuned, and new artwork was released. The artwork depicts the Supreme Kai of Time, Future Trunks, Super Saiyan Goku, and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s original player character. An announcement of some kind is seemingly on the way as Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 approaches its seventh anniversary on October 25.

Bulma voice actress Monica Rial, Whis voice actor Ian Sinclair, and executive producer Akio Iyoku will provide an “exciting franchise update” during the Dragon Ball Special Panel at NYCC 2023. The panel will be held on October 12 at 12:45 p.m. EDT in Empire Stage. A “mysterious new teaser” will be shown at the panel. It’s unlikely that a Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 announcement will be made at this particular event, however.

Dragon Ball fans may also look forward to a new Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi game, which is currently in development at Bandai Namco. The reveal trailer showed Goku powering up to his Super Saiyan Blue transformation from Dragon Ball Super. The new game was recently trademarked with the Sparking! Zero title by Bandai Namco in the US.

Lastly, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
