Toei Animation announced Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning is heading to theaters across the US with theatrical screenings this November. A newly released trailer also confirms that the new film will receive an English dub. To celebrate, Toei Animation is letting fans watch a few episodes of the original anime series for free on YouTube.
The story of Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning is set in February 2012, which is shortly after the events of the Digimon Adventure tri. anime and the Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna anime film. The upcoming film will feature protagonist Daisuke Motomiya and friends from the original Digimon Adventure 02 anime. Soon, fans in the US will be able to experience the film in theaters.
Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning Screenings Come to US Theaters
Toei Animation confirms that Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning screenings will be available in US theaters from November 8 to November 9. The English dub will be screened on November 8, and the Japanese dub with English subtitles will be screened on November 9. The movie will begin screening at 7:00 p.m. local time on both days, so fans will need to check their local theaters for more information. Additionally, the first 50 guests for each screening will receive a Digimon Card Game Tamer Party Pack -THE BEGINNING- ver. 2.0 set. Furthermore, Toei Animation have released the first three episodes of the original Digimon Adventure 02 anime for free on YouTube.

A Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning special featuring cast members and film footage will air on October 26. The special will stream live on YouTube in Japanese and English. The movie will make its Japanese premiere just one day later on October 27.
Tomohisa Taguchi and scriptwriter Akatsuki Yamatoya are leading the direction and writing of the new movie. Yumeta Company and Toei Animation are in charge of animation and production respectively.
