Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Multiplayer Trailer Released

    Open beta access detailed.

Activision has released two new trailers for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III detailing the game’s multiplayer and open beta access. The game will release on November 10.

Modern Warfare III is set to be the climax of the rebooted Modern Warfare trilogy. The game will feature a gripping story unlike anything seen in the series. It will also include the return of fan-favorite series antagonist, Makarov. Activision has confirmed more details about the game’s open beta access and gameplay prior to its release next month.

The trailer shows off several maps from the classic Modern Warfare franchise. These include:

    • Afghan
    • Derail
    • Estate
    • Favela
    • Karachi
    • Highrise
    • Invasion
    • Quarry
    • Rundown
    • Rust
    • Scrapyard
    • Skidrow
    • Sub Base
    • Terminal
    • Underpass
    • Wasteland

The multiplayer also seems to retain the fast and frenetic gunplay of prior entries. From the surface, it looks to be building off the gameplay mechanics and style of the game’s predecessor, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. A separate trailer from Activision confirmed how open beta access for the game will work. The beta will be available exclusively for those who have pre-ordered the game on PlayStation consoles. The trial will include five maps: Favela, Estate, Rust, Skidrow, and High Rise.

A disclaimer at the end of the trailer states that the beta will be “available on PlayStation at least five days earlier than any other format.” This disclosure from Activision hints that an open beta may be available not long after the closed beta. The PlayStation-exclusive beta will be available on October 6. Check out the trailer below:

Lastly, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will release on November 10. The game will be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
