HoYoverse announced that Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.4 “Jolted Awake From a Winter Dream” will release alongside the new PS5 version on October 11. The new update will include new story missions, multiple new playable characters, and so much more.
The Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.4 Special Program was held on the morning of September 29, revealing the release date for the new update before September 2023 comes to an end. In addition, HoYoverse released various Honkai: Star Rail livestream promo codes for fans to redeem while waiting for the new update. Following the livestream, HoYoverse revealed even more details about what fans can expect in Version 1.4.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.4 “Jolted Awake From a Winter Dream”
After resolving the events of Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.3 and defeating Phantylia, the story will take places to the the Old Weapons Testing Ground and Pillars of Creation in Jarilo-VI. Topaz from the Interastral Peace Corporation (IPC)’s Strategic Investment Department is heading to the planet to deal with her current agenda. Meanwhile, the Astral Express Crew will head down to resolve a core issue regarding the frozen plant and IPC in Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.4.
Outside of the story, players may enjoy Aetherium Wars, a universally recognized leading video game within the Honkai: Star Rail universe. Participants must use Aether Spirits, digital replicas of creatures, to build and train their own combat companions. A tournament will be held on Jarilo-VI, so its up to players to collect and nurture Aether Spirits to secure a spot in the tournament.
Jingliu, Topaz & Numby, and Guinaifen will be new playable characters in Version 1.4, and Seele will be making her return as well. Jingliu is an Ice-Type character following the Path of Destruction who may enter two different states in combat. She’s a capable sword master in her normal and “Spectral Transmigration” states alike. Topaz and Numby are Fire-Type characters following the Path of The Hunt, while Guinaifen is a Fire-Type character following the Path of Nihility.

Honkai: Star Rail is available now for Android, iOS, and PC via Epic Games Store, and the PS5 version launches on October 11.
