Developer NAYUTA STUDIO has announced a new game titled Hollow Cocoon. The horror adventure game will be released on PC via Steam in December. A demo will be available on October 9.
NAYUTA STUDIO is known for its works on adventure games such as CINERIS SOMNIA. Hollow Cocoon will have a deep story, multiple endings, and more. The developers revealed more information on the game on their official Steam page.
Hollow Cocoon Details
A demo for Hollow Cocoon will be available on October 9 during Steam Next Fest. The trailer shows off the game’s terrifying 1980s Japan atmosphere. Check out the first teaser trailer for the game below:
The developers state the game is a “first-person horror adventure game set in 1980s Japan.” They go on to mention that the Hollow Cocoon will include the following features:
- Multiple Endings
Experience a captivating story with four unique endings.
Your choices will lead the story down different branching paths. - Difficulty Selection
Choose from three difficulty options.
Whether you want to just enjoy the story or seek a challenging experience, the game can accommodate your needs.
*You can switch to a lower difficulty during gameplay (Note: The difficulty cannot be raised). - Auto-Saving
Both auto-save and manual save options are available.
Even if you get a game over, you can immediately restart from the last checkpoint. - Motion Sickness Reduction
To alleviate motion sickness, various features are available, including adjustable viewing angles, a central dot display, and the option to disable camera shaking.
Multiple functions are provided to minimize motion sickness caused by visuals.
At the time of writing, the developers have not yet confirmed the game’s exact release date or if it will release on consoles. For now, all NAYUTA STUDIO has stated about Hollow Cocoon is that it will release in December on PC via Steam. A demo will be available on October 9.
