The final trailer for Berserk of Gluttony was released today, confirming air times for multiple services. Berserk of Gluttony is an adaptation of the light novel series that began releasing in 2017. As of now, the series has a total of 1.5 million copies in circulation. The announcement of this anime adaptation occurred last October.
Earlier this month, a new key visual for the series was released. This is the main key visual for this season, or Season 1. Animation studio ACGT will produce the anime. Tetsuya Yanagisawa will direct the series. You can learn more from the official Twitter here.
Crunchyroll will air the first episode ahead of the TV broadcast. Fans worldwide will be able to watch Episode 1 of Berserk of Gluttony starting Sunday, October 1, 2023. The air time has yet to be announced by Crunchyroll. In Japan, ＜U-NEXT＞ will air the broadcast early, starting on October 1 at 24:00. The TV stations set to air the series on October 4 at 25:30 include OKYO MX, Sun TV, and BS11. Finally, the series will air on ＜d-anime Store＞, ABEMA, niconico Douga Live Broadcast, Prime Video, and other services.
What to Know About Berserk of Gluttony
The series can is described as follows, “In a world where the superiority of skills is absolute, a boy named Fate is scorned and belittled for his incompetence. This is because his skill, “Gluttony,” is completely useless except for making him hungry. Fate is forced to live at the bottom of society, enduring violence and being burdened with
menial tasks by the prestigious Brellick family, who are among the highest-ranking Holy Knights in this world. The only solace he finds is in Roxy Heart, who, despite also being a Holy Knight, treats him with respect and kindness.
The provided synopsis continues with, “However, everything changes when Fate accidentally kills a thief who infiltrates the castle while accompanying Roxy. In that moment, his Gluttony skill activates, allowing him to steal the opponent’s power and abilities. Fate’s skill is an incredible ability to take away skills and abilities from those he kills. Empowered by his newfound fighting abilities, Fate encounters Greed, a sentient sword with a skill known as “Greed,” also associated with one of the Deadly Sins. Together,
they step into a world of conflict and struggle. Driven by the desire to protect his loved ones and defy the unjust world, Fate devours his enemies in order to consume their power. The destiny of this once-lowly boy, crawling on the ground, rapidly begins to unfold.”
Berserk of Gluttony will be available on Crunchyroll starting on October 1.
