Square Enix announced Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is coming soon to PC via Steam. The announcement comes just a few weeks after launch, which is a good sign of things to come for Square Enix’s latest mobile game. Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis
Released on September 7, Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis brings “another possibility” of a remake of the original Final Fantasy VII compilation with signature ATB gameplay, several playable characters, new story events, and much more. Thus far, over six million players have downloaded the game, and even more will join the player base through the release of a Steam version in the near future.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis Confirmed for Steam
Square Enix hosted a livestream for Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis and confirmed the Steam version is in development. The Steam version will share data with the mobile version, so cross-saves and cross-play are likely to be included. Further details about the Steam version were not announced, however.

While waiting for the Steam version, players can get a headstart by redeeming several rewards in the mobile version. To celebrate the six million downloads milestone, Square Enix is giving away 1,000 Blue Crystals individually to all players. Players may redeem this reward by logging into the game before October 20 at 7:59 a.m. PDT / 10:59 a.m. PDT. In addition, a special release celebration login bonus is now live until October 7. This particular login bonus grants a total of 3,000 Blue Crystals to those playing the title.
There’s still time to play the latest Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis event, too. Players can collect exchangeable items Huge Mega Watermelon and Lifesaver to exchange for the limited-time weapon Beach Parasol (Zack) and Zack-Exclusive Gear, Tropical Beach in the Beach Festival Fun! event. This event also includes a Tifa & Red XIII New Weapon Featured Draw and a Cloud & Aerith New Weapon Featured Draw where new summer-themed weapons for Tifa, Red XIII, Cloud and Aerith are available to draw. Players can also get summer-themed Exclusive Gear for Tifa, Red XIII, Cloud and Aerith with their Stamp Card until September 28 (PDT).
