The staff of the Haikyu!! anime franchise has revealed that Haikyu!! Final Film Part 1 will release on February 16. They have also unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming movie.
Haruichi Furudate launched the Haikyu!! manga in 2011. Both Viz Media and MANGA Plus have released the manga around the world. The anime adaptation initially aired in 2014 and lasted until 2020. The franchise’s staff revealed more information about the upcoming movie in the recent trailer.
Haikyu!! Final Film Part 1 Details
The latest trailer for Part 1 of the Haikyu!! Final Film, titled Haikyu!! the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump reveals more of the film’s story and staff. Susumu Mitsunaka will be directing and writing the movie. Check out the trailer for the upcoming film below:

Based off of the original Weekly Shonen Jump manga series from Haruichi Furudate, Haikyu!! is a slice-of-life sports anime revolving around Shoyo Hinata’s love of volleyball. Inspired by a small-statured pro volleyball player, Hinata creates a volleyball team in his last year of middle school. Unfortunately the team is matched up against the “King of the Court” Tobio Kageyama’s team in their first tournament and inevitably lose. After the crushing defeat, Hinata vows to surpass Kageyama After entering high school, Hinata joins the volleyball team only to find that Tobio has also joined.
At the time of writing, the franchise’s staff has not yet confirmed when Part 2 of the movie will be released, or when Part 1 will release in the West. The Haikyu! Final film Part 1 will premiere on February 16. The original manga is available on both MANGA Plus and Viz Media. The staff will likely reveal more information about the anime’s story and worldwide release date in the coming weeks and months.
