    Sword Art Online: Last Recollection Demo Announced

    Yuuki and Mito revealed as playable characters.

    Bandai Namco announced a demo of Sword Art Online: Last Recollection will be released on September 26 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. During Bandai Namco’s Tokyo Game Show 2023 stage event, several new trailers were released alongside the demo announcement.

    Sword Art Online: Last Recollection is a new action RPG that serves as “the culmination of the Sword Art Online game series.” Fans may look forward to the most extensive character roster in the series yet with many fan-favorites making their epic return. Players will be able to experience a brief portion of the main story and try out combat in the new Sword Art Online: Last Recollection demo.

    The new Sword Art Online: Last Recollection demo will release on September 26, allowing players to get a head start on their journey. Save data from the demo may be transferred into the full game, so players will be able to continue from where they last left off. Moreover, Bandai Namco revealed the opening animation for Sword Art Online: Last Recollection. Yuuki from Sword God Gradia and Mito from Sword Art Online Progressive were confirmed as playable characters in the full release as well.

    Sword Art Online fans may also look forward to the continuation of the anime series. Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online Season 2 was green-lit for production at Studio 3Hz. Tomori Kusunoki returns as Llenn, the main lead of Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online. Masayuki Sakoi serves as director for the second season with Yōsuke Kuroda handling series composition. Yoshio Kosakai will serve as the character designer and chief animation director.

    Lastly, Sword Art Online: Last Recollection launches October 5 in Japan and October 6 worldwide for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
