Good Smile Company confirm that an officially licensed Tekken 8 Nendoroid figure of Ling Xiaoyu is coming soon. Ling Xiaoyu is one of 32 playable characters featured in the new fighting game at launch early next year.
Bandai Namco revealed several Tekken 8 characters leading up to Gamescom 2023, which also featured a blowout of information. One of the game’s returning characters is the adorable Ling Xiaoyu, a mainstay character ever since her debut in Tekken 3. To celebrate her return, Good Smile Company and Bandai Namco are teaming up to release a new Nendoroid figure.
Tekken 8 Ling Xiaoyu Nendoroid Now in Development
Good Smile Company’s official X (Twitter) account confirms the new Ling Xiaoyu figure is in development. New chibi artwork of the Nendoroid was revealed featuring Xiaoyu’s iconic pigtails and her new outfit. A prototype of the Ling Xiaoyu figure is on display at the official Tekken 8 booth at Tokyo Game Show 2023, which runs from September 21 to 24 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.

Attendees visiting the Tekken 8 booth can also check out the large Panda statue. Bandai Namco confirms Panda will be playable in the full release, but the character will not be featured in closed beta test. Panda is joined by returning characters Kuma, Leo, Yoshimitsu, Steve Fox, Shaheen, and Dragunov. Moreover, Bandai Namco plans to reveal six more characters before launch.
What’s more, the Tekken 8 closed beta test will be held from October 20 at 1 a.m. PDT / 4 a.m. EDT to October 23 at 12 a.m. PDT / 3 a.m. EDT. Fans may pre-register/sign-up for the Tekken 8 closed beta test right now at the game’s official website until October 11. 19 playable characters will be featured in the closed beta test. Bandai Namco plans on testing network capabilities and features during the beta period.
Lastly, Tekken 8 launches January 26, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam
