Tekken 8 Reveals Feng and Closed Beta Test Dates

Bandai Namco Entertainment released a new Tekken 8 gameplay trailer revealing the returning playable character Feng and a new closed beta test. The upcoming closed beta test will begin in October nearly one month after Tokyo Game Show 2023 concludes. 

During Gamescom 2023, Bandai Namco revealed several playable characters for Tekken 8 such as Kuma, Leo. Yoshimitsu, Steve Fox, Shaheen, and Dragunov. In addition, several game modes were revealed such as Arcade Quest and Tekken Fight Lounge. Players will soon be able to try out Fight Lounge for the first time in the upcoming closed beta test. 

Tekken 8 Closed Beta Test and Where to Sign-Up

The Tekken 8 closed beta test will be held from October 20 at 1 a.m. PDT / 4 a.m. EDT to October 23 at 12 a.m. PDT / 3 a.m. EDT. Fans may pre-register/sign-up for the Tekken 8 closed beta test right now at the game’s official website until October 11. The newly unveiled Feng will be playable in the closed network test alongside 18 playable characters from the previous closed network test.

Bandai Namco will test the network and monitor the gameplay experience during the closed beta test. This particular beta will also include the new “aggressive” battle system, battle matching, Tekken Fight Lounge, and a large-scale lobby. This beta will be crucial toward improving the network capabilities and gameplay mechanics and balancing of Tekken 8. Moreover, an online survey will be sent to participants after the closed beta test is over.
