Insomniac and PlayStation have officially revealed a new gameplay preview for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The trailer features a new look at New York City, the game’s villains, and alternate costumes.
Spider-Man 2 is the long-anticipated next entry in the Spider-Man gaming franchise. Featuring both Peter Parker and Miles Morales as playable characters as they fight against Venom, Kraven, and more. It will release on October 20, 2023, for the PlayStation 5.
Spider-Man 2 Gameplay Trailer
The world map of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has been fully revealed. Players will not just be able to explore Manhattan from the first two games, but also Queens, Brooklyn, Coney Island, and more. The scale of New York has been heightened through both the new web-wings feature and upgraded fast travel system.
With the power of the PlayStation 5, players can instantly switch between Miles and Peter with just a push of a button. Each character has different mechanics and their own set of suits. Miles can access his electricity and invisibility powers, while Peter can use the iron-spider arms and the fan-favorite black suit. Exploring New York City has never been so thrilling.
Speaking of suits, Spider-Man 2 has over sixty-five unique suits for both Miles Morales and Peter Parker. The trailer provided a sneak peek at some of the new suits, from the Scarlet Spider costume, the Tobey Maguire Black Suit, Miles’ pink suit, and the previously announced Arach-Knight and Shadow Spider suit. There will also be several returning costumes from the past two games. Fans can fight the likes of Venom, Kraven, the Wraith, and more in style.

Additionally, Insomniac released a trailer showcasing the ten unique suits (five for Peter, five for Miles) that will be available exclusively for those who buy the digital deluxe edition. The costumes will be designed by veteran artists from comics, movies, and other PlayStation studios. Kris Anka, Across the Spider-Verse character designer, Sweeney Boo, comic book artist, and Raf Grasetti, Santa Monica Studio artist, will each work on their own costume.
