ATLUS and Vanillaware have announced Unicorn Overlord, a brand-new tactical fantasy RPG. The new game will release on March 8, 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 (digital only), and Xbox Series X|S.
Vanillaware has been working on a new fantasy RPG for quite a while now. This past January, the prolific studio confirmed that the RPG reached end of the development. Now, that game has been officially revealed as Unicorn Overlord.
ATLUS and Vanillaware’s Next RPG: Unicorn Overlord
Unicorn Overlord combines overworld exploration, a robust combat system, and simulation mechanics into one grand title. Players may explore five vast nations and grow their army with over 60 unique characters. Unicorn Overlord will launch on March 8, and ATLUS confirms that physical editions will be sold.
A standard edition will be sold for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A Collector’s Edition will be available featuring the standard edition, a Premium Edition box, a 16-bit BGM soundtrack CD with 20 tracks across two CDs, a 132-page artbook , and an original card game featuring 239 cards, tokens, and markers. This edition also includes the pre-order DLC titled ATLUS X Vanillaware Heraldry Pack. The DLC lets players customize the Liberation Army’s flag with emblem designs from Odin Sphere, Dragon’s Crown and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. ATLUS plans to reveal more pre-order information at a later date.
