The Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods anime movie will return to theaters to celebrate its 10th anniversary in the United States this October. Tickets are already on sale to watch a special extended version of the anime movie that eventually led to Dragon Ball Super.
A Dragon Ball Special Panel will be held on October 12 featuring the latest news about the Dragon Ball franchise. This news will include “new developments” and a “mysterious new teaser.” will be shown at the panel. Five days later, fans will be able to celebrate the franchise with screenings of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods in theaters.
Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods 10th Anniversary Theatrical Screenings
The official X (Twitter) account for Toei Animation confirms that Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods will return with 10th anniversary theatrical screenings. On October 17 to 18, fans will be able to watch the special Extended Edition cut in theaters nationwide. This particular version adds an additional 20 minutes to the original cut. The total runtime of the film is 1 hour and 45 minutes, so fans will have plenty of content to watch. Tickets are currently on sale at Fathom Events.
Fans may also look forward to a brand-new Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi game, which is currently in development at Bandai Namco. The reveal trailer showed Goku powering up to his Super Saiyan Blue transformation from Dragon Ball Super. Further information, including platforms and a release date, were not revealed by Bandai Namco just yet.
