    Death Stranding to Release on iPhone 15 Pro Later This Year

    Alongside the announcement of Resident Evil 4 (2023) and Resident Evil Village heading to iPhone 15 Pro, Apple has revealed in a blog post that Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding is also set to release on the platform.

    For those unfamiliar, Death Stranding was released on November 8, 2019, exclusively for PlayStation 4. The game later came to PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Mac. Death Stranding stars Norman Reedus as Sam Porter Bridges, a delivery man on a quest to reconnect a broken America. 

    Apple Confirms Death Stranding iPhone 15 Pro Release

    In a blog post, the company states, “iPhone 15 Pro brings true-to-life gaming to the palm of users’ hands with console titles never before seen on a smartphone, like Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 4, Death Stranding, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage.” These games will run natively on the phone’s hardware, which is said to be capable of ray-tracing.

    At the bottom of the post, the release date for the games was specified: “Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 4, and Death Stranding are coming to iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max later this year.” We can expect to hear more about these titles as we head into October.

    As previously stated, Death Stranding was originally released in 2019. A sequel is in the works for PlayStation 5.
