Available now for PC and Switch.

PLAYISM and kouri announced Ib remake is finally heading to PS4 and PS5 early next year. The PlayStation versions will release on March 14, 2024, and a new trailer highlights what fans can expect.

Ib remake brings the cult classic horror adventure game to modern platforms, including Nintendo Switch. Previously, a March 2023 issue of Famitsu highlighted the exciting Nintendo Switch version. Soon, PlayStation fans will be able to play the title for the first time.

    Ib for PS4 and PS5

The upcoming PS4 and PS5 release of Ib will bring the title to a wider audience of gamers. This is one of PLAYISM’s goals for the title, which is the reason why the Nintendo Switch version released. Like the PC and Switch versions, PlayStation fans will be able to enjoy the remake’s new conversation and Zoom mode features. The game will be released for $14.99 with support for English, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese language options.

Here’s a brief description of the horror adventure game, courtesy of PLAYISM:

This game is a remake of the 2D exploration-adventure title Ib, set in a creepy, mysterious art gallery and originally released as a free game in February 2012 by Japanese indie game developer, kouri.

Ib is made for the wider audience; regardless of how much experience you have with video games, this is an adventure that can be enjoyed by everyone. Players of the original free version will also notice the visual overhaul, as well as brand new elements not previously available.

Released earlier in 2022 on Steam for PC to overwhelmingly positive reviews, and then the Nintendo Switch this year, we’re excited to bring Ib to PS consoles to allow even more players to visit the Guertena Exhibition for themselves.

Lastly, Ib is available now for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam worldwide.
