The Computer Entertainment Software Association (CESA) have revealed new details about Tokyo Game Show VR 2023 including activities on the Game Islands and participating VTuber ambassadors. In Tokyo Game Show VR 2023, fans will be able to participate in digital events and check out trailers for new games.
The main theme of Tokyo Game Show VR 2023 is centered around floating islands from a virtual country high in the sky. While exploring this virtual world with a VR headset or smartphone, users may participate in special activities, catch up on new trailers, and so much more.
Tokyo Game Show VR 2023 Activities
When Tokyo Game Show VR 2023 opens, users may progress the Stamp Rally Quest. Various tasks may be completed by watching videos and taking photos throughout the venue. Visitors can acquire avatars and advance the game storyline by completing quests, and something will happen after a certain amount of quests are complete. Users gain the ability to transform into avatars, which have access to a variety of spells from upcoming games.
For the first time, TGS VR attendees will have access to the Game Tree Theater in the center of Game Island. This is the place to watch mini live performances with special effects and trailers for upcoming games featured at Tokyo Game Show 2023. The CESA confirms that certain events will be exclusive to TGS VR, so users have plenty to look forward to that’s not part of the traditional TGS schedule. Moreover, 33 companies are participating in TGS VR 2023 to make it a compelling event. These companies include Koei Tecmo, SEGA / ATLUS, Capcom, Square Enix, and Bandai Namco.
Official VTuber Ambassadors for TGS VR 2023
VTubers Kagami Hayato, Shu Yami no Shu, and the Omega Sisters have been appointed as official ambassadors for TGS VR 2023. This will be a first for Kagami and Shu, whereas the Omega Sisters have as ambassadors for three years starting at TGS VR 2021. Fans can expect livestreams and videos from these VTubers through this year’s event.
