Koei Tecmo, Gust, and Akatsuki Games released a new gameplay trailer for Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy & the Liberator of Polar Night highlighting the combat system, synthesis, and returning characters.

Atelier Resleriana is a new RPG that faithful adapts the core Atelier gameplay and features into a mobile title. The story is told with two main protagonists: Resna and Valeria. Resna is a budding alchemist that wises to spread the art of alchemy around the world, and Valeria appears to be driven by deeply personal goals of her own.

    Atelier Resleriana Trailer Highlights Gameplay

Like the previous Atelier Resleriana trailer, the newest gameplay trailer introduces the structure of gathering, synthesis, and battle. Players may progress the story without the use of stamina gauge, and the game’s main menu will change over time with story progression. In battles, players may enjoy a turn-based RPG system where players may acquire Effect Panels, which grant various effects. Three skills may be equipped on each character, and Burst Panels may allow characters to use a special move called a Burst Skill. Ryza, Firis, and other Atelier protagonists return as playable characters.

Moreover, the synthesis at the atelier works nearly identical to prior titles. Atelier Resleriana players can expect to make items for all sorts of uses. Gathering may be done in dungeons and the in-game shop, and higher difficulty quests grant greater rewards. Score Battles also serve as a fun way of earning materials through special challenges. Additionally, characters may grow stronger through training quests, the Grow Board, and Memoria. Training quests grant EXP and upgrade materials, and the Grow Board is the main way of developing characters. In Memoria, players may unlock illustration cards featuring memorable moments from the Atelier series.

Lastly, Atelier Resleriana will launch in 2023 in Japan for Android, iOS, and PC via Steam. The game will be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2023, and attendees may earn an “Original Shopper” bag and a Puni key chain for visiting the booth. A worldwide release has not been announced, and pre-registration is now live in Japan at the official website.
