Koei Tecmo, Gust, and Akatsuki Games revealed new gameplay details for upcoming mobile RPG Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy & the Liberator of Polar Night alongside a new trailer. This is the 25th mainline entry in the long-running Atelier series, and it will feature characters from previous Atelier games.
Koei Tecmo recently revealed the key visual for Atelier Resleriana featuring the main party led by Resna. The new title was first revealed during the company’s “New Atelier Series Presentation” earlier this month.
Atelier Resleriana Gameplay Details and Features
Once more, Atelier fans will be following the structure of gathering, synthesis, and battle in Atelier Resleriana. Players may progress the story without the use of stamina gauge like in other gacha games. The game’s menu will change over time with story progression. In battles, players may enjoy a timeline-based RPG combat system where players may acquire Effect Panels. These Effect Panels grant various effects, and synthesized items may give the part an advantage. Three skills may be equipped on each character, and Burst Panels may allow characters to use a special move called a Burst Skill.
Characters may grow stronger through training quests, the Grow Board, and Memoria. EXP and upgrade materials may be earned through training quests, and the Grow Board is the main way of developing characters. Illustration cards featuring memorable moments from the Atelier series may be unlocked in Memoria, which also serves as a way to strengthen characters since the party may equip the cards. Gathering may be done in dungeons and the in-game shop, and higher difficulty quests grant greater rewards. Score Battles also serve as a fun way of earning materials through special challenges. Moreover, synthesis at the atelier works nearly identical to prior titles, and more characters may help in the process too.
New and Returning Characters / Voice Cast
In Atelier Reslierana, Valeria (voiced by Manami Numakura) is a second playable protagonist. Valeria is joined by Heidi (voiced by Naomi Oozora), Flock Cerha (voiced by Yuko Ono), and Lanze Dach (voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi). Several characters will be returning alongside their respective voice actors:

Finally, Atelier Resleriana will launch in 2023 in Japan for Android, iOS, and PC via Steam. The game will be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2023, and attendees may earn an “Original Shopper” bag and a Puni key chain for visiting the booth. However, a worldwide release has not been announced. Pre-registration is now live in Japan at the official website.
