    SEGA announced several new Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis updates will be releasing in September 2023 with one of the updates featuring an Oshi no Ko collab. Fans can also expect a collab with the popular Spriggan anime soon. 

    This past August, SEGA launched its collab with the Uncle from Another World anime in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. Fans were able to dress up as Uncle and other popular characters from the anime. The anime collaborations will continue well into the year in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis with Oshi no Ko and Spriggan

    Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis September 2023 Updates

    SEGA confirms that autumn festivities will commence in the first Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis update on September 6. More new content will be available throughout the month with the second update featuring the Oshi no Ko collab. The latest episode of NGS Headline with Hiro Arai delves deeper into what players can expect. 

    September 6 – Autumn is Here

    The Aelio region and Central City will be decorated with autumn leaves and foliage in the first of multiple Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis updates. Xitre the navigator will be back with a Rappy coat, and Moongaze Rappies will roam the world. Moreover, fans may acquire 8-star Alcinq weapons with powerful enhancements, and the enhancement cap has been raised to level 70. ARKS Records for the Field Race: Dreisen Plant Board (Stage 1): Solo will also be available on September 6. Furthermore, the new limited-time quest Unidentified Region A32 with new tasks and titles. SEGA rounds out the update with Autumn ’23 Special and Moonlight Sanctuary ’23 AC Scratch Tickets.

    Oshi no Ko Arrives on September 13

    The autumn celebration continues on September 13 in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. This particular update brings another limited-time quest, Moonlight Invasion ’23. Enemy levels and rewards have been upgraded substantially from last year’s version of the quest. Once more, players will have access to limited-time tasks and titles. ARKS Records for the Slope Style: Solo Trainia will also be available. The Refined Form ’23 SG Scratch Ticket will bring popular outfits from the original Phantasy Star Online 2, and Mission Pass: NGS Season 24 will be available to all players.

    The Oshi no Ko collab event is the main highlight of the September 13 update for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis, however. A special Oshi no Ko login bonus campaign will be active with free rewards, and new Build Parts featuring posters and life-sized panels will be available. The Oshi no Ko Style AC Scratch Ticket will be live with costumes and cosmetics based on Ai, Ruby, and Kana Arima. 

    Final September Updates

    The September 20 update will introduce the limited-time quest Caldera Clean-Up Op, which supports up to 24 players. Players can expect more limited-time tasks and titles, and ARKS Records for the Field Race: North Aelio Board (Stage 1): Solo will be available. The Cyber Comfort AC Scratch Ticket will be live with military/sci-fi inspired cosmetics, too. One week later, the Autumn Night Aelio Defense ’23 limited-time quest will be live on September 27 with more tasks and titles. In addition, ARKS Records for the Trainia: Vanishing Path II: Solo will be available for all classes. For the first time ever, the new Support Item Select SG Scratch Ticket will be available.

    Spriggan Collab Announced

    SEGA confirms that a collab event with Spriggan will be held in October 2023. This collab will include the Armored Muscle Suit worn by Spriggan protagonist Yu Ominae, an orichalcum knife, and much more. More details will be revealed in the October edition of NGS Headline, which airs on September 26.
