Sega Plaza has announced that they will release Napping Cat Figures for NieR: Automata characters, 2B, A2, and 9S. The figures will be released in Winter 2023.
NieR: Automata is one of the most beloved video games in the last ten years. The action RPG has received numerous ports, an anime adaptation, and hundreds of merchandise. Expect more NieR: Automata content to be released over the coming months.
NieR: Automata Napping Cat Figures Coming in Winter
Sega Plaza has confirmed that the upcoming NieR: Automata figures will be based on their incarnations in the anime NieR: Automata Ver1.1a. The figures will be available as prize centers at select game centers exclusively in Japan. Over the last few months, several more bits of merchandise have been released by Square Enix. SH Figuarts of 2B and 9S Figures will be released in January 2024, and a 2B plush from Good Smile Company will be released this year.
This year will mark the sixth anniversary of NieR: Automata. Square Enix will hold an anniversary livestream to celebrate the occasion, including a Q&A segment. There is also a possibility that the event will include several surprises about the franchise’s future.
Fans may also look forward to the second half of the NieR: Automata Ver1.1a anime series. Additionally, Square Enix is teaming up with AWR Music Productions for NieR: Orchestra Concert 12024 [ the end of data ], a concert tour that brings the talent behind the music to several venues worldwide. Expect more NieR-themed festivities and merch to be released over the coming weeks and months.
Lastly, NieR: Automata is available now on PC, Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch. Further, fans can watch the first half of the NieR: Automata Ver1.1a anime on Crunchyroll. The Sega Plaza Napping Cat Figures will be available in select Japan Game Centers in Winter 2023.
