Square Enix announced the NieR: Automata 6th anniversary livestream is set for October 1 featuring key NieR series staff. The upcoming event will also be held in person at a studio in Tokyo.
Previously, NieR series producer Yosuke Saito teased that a 6th anniversary livestream was being planned. At the time, Saito could not directly confirm if the event was actually going to happen. Just one month later, Square Enix confirms that its plans will come to fruition this October.
NieR: Automata 6th Anniversary Livestream
The NieR: Automata 6th anniversary livestream is currently scheduled for October 1 at 18:30 JST. This event will commemorate the game’s anniversary with developer Q&A sessions and a live performance. Participants in the event include Yosuke Saito, NieR series creative director Yoko Taro, NieR series composer Keiichi Okabe, and PlatinumGames and NieR series senior game designer Takahisa Taura.
Fans in Japan may submit their questions and messages by using 6th anniversary hashtag on X (Twitter). The livestream will be held on YouTube and NicoNico, and those with a NicoNico account in Japan may apply to be a spectator at the in-person event in Tokyo. Moreover, a giveaway will also be held on NicoNico.

Additionally, Square Enix is teaming up with AWR Music Productions for NieR: Orchestra Concert 12024 [ the end of data ], a concert tour that brings the talent behind the music to several venues around the world. The NieR festivities won’t end any time soon as Saito and Square Enix prepare for an anniversary event.
While waiting for the livestream, fans may catch up on all 12 episodes of NieR: Automata Ver1.1a cour 1 on Crunchyroll. The second cour will likely include another 12 episodes for a total of 24 episodes of the NieR: Automata anime adaptation. Fans can expect the second cour to be simulcasted on Crunchyroll as well.
