The popular isekai anime, The Rising Of The Shield Hero, was confirmed to have a third season recently. The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 3 is scheduled for October 2023, and a new trailer was revealed.
The Rising Of The Shield Hero started airing in January 2019 and was one of the most popular anime of the year. A second season was due considering the success the prequel had but fans weren’t too pleased, mainly the 12 episode length and pacing. Kinema Citrus, the studio behind the adaptation, is back to regain its glory in Season 3.

The official website for The Rising Of The Shield Hero has been updated, revealing a new trailer for Season 3. Fans may look forward to the third season in October 2023. Several voice actors from the second season return, and the trailer highlights their performances.

In Season 3, the Three Cardinal Heroes have gone missing. Slaves have vanished. Puzzled by the disappearances and what’s happening, Naofumi together with Raphtalia and Filo go to the town of Zeltoble to investigate. There he stumbles on an underground fighting ring. They hide their identities and participate, hoping to get information.
Staff and Cast
Kinema Citrus will continue to animate the series. This studio is the producer of the hit anime Made In Abyss. The previous season was not well received, but hopefully the studio comes back better than ever.
Hitoshi Haga will direct the new season. He’s previously worked on the first season of the anime and also Made In Abyss. He did work on Soul Eater, Monster and Hunter X Hunter movie. The show is clearly in great hands.
