Armored Core VI: Which Edition Should You Buy?

    Your wallet may suffer.

Are you excited for Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, but are unsure if you want to pay more for some fancy extras? If you’re willing to splurge a bit, there are a few options to choose from. Here’s what each edition of Armored Core VI includes so you can make a more informed decision.

A Standard Copy of Armored Core VI

If you just want to play the game and spend as little money as possible, this is the obvious choice to go with. There isn’t really any in-game content you will be missing out on if you decide to go with the standard edition of the game. However, if you do pre-order, you will be able to unlock the MELANDER C3 parts set and an emblem early on.

If you do not pre-order, the only content you will be missing out on is an exclusive AC decal. The MELANDER C3 parts set and emblem can be unlocked as you progress throughout the game.

    Armored Core VI Deluxe Edition

The Deluxe Edition of Armored Core VI is available as a digital exclusive. For $10 more, players can gain access to a digital artbook and soundtrack. It may not be the most extravagant upgrade, but things are going to get a lot more expensive from here.

    Collector’s Edition

Prepare your wallet for this one, as this certainly isn’t cheap. Here’s a list of what the Collector’s Edition contains:

    • Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
    • Figurine
    • Steelbook Case
    • 4 Pin Badges
    • 45 Stickers
    • Artbook
    • Digital Soundtrack

All of this comes with a hefty price tag of $229.99. However, considering the amount of bells and whistles it comes with, it may be worth it if you can afford it. The figurine appears to be quite detailed and will likely be a nice addition to any shelf. The Collector’s Edition is exclusively available on the Bandai Namco Store

    Premium Edition

If the Collector’s Edition of Armored Core VI isn’t somehow enough for you, there is one more option. The Premium Edition comes with everything the Collector’s Edition does, but it adds one more thing. It comes with a model garage to place your figurine in. However, this single addition comes at a heavy cost.

The Premium Edition of Armored Core VI will require a whopping $449.99. Be sure you really like the look of that garage if you’re going to pay that amount because it’s the only thing the Premium Edition adds. Again, it is only available via the Bandai Namco Store.
