Nintendo of America has officially revealed the newest season of content coming to Splatoon 3. Titled “Drizzle Season 2023,” the update will be available starting on September 1 for Splatoon 3. Additionally, Nintendo confirmed that new Splatoon 3 Amiibo will be released on November 17.
Splatoon 3 is the latest entry in the fan-favorite Splatoon franchise. Nintendo initially released the game in the Fall of 2022. The upcoming update will mark the game’s first anniversary.
Splatoon 3 Drizzle Season 2023
The latest season of Splatoon 3, Drizzle Season 2023, will include the following additions:
- New Stages
- Crableg Capital
- Shipshape Cargo Co.
- New Main Weapons
- Dread Winger
- Heavy Edit Splatling
- New Salmon Run Content
- Returning Stage: Salmonid Smokeyard
- New Work Outfits
- New Cosmetics
The season will launch on September 1. Earlier this year, Nintendo also confirmed that a new expansion will be released for Splatoon 3 in the future. The expansion is called “Side-Order.” Currently, no information has been released about the DLC’s release date. However, Nintendo will likely reveal more details on the game’s future content in the coming weeks and months.
New Splatoon 3 Amiibo
In a separate tweet, Nintendo also confirmed that new Splatoon 3 amiibo would be released on November 17. Three amiibo would be released, each bringing to life one of the three members of Splatoon 3‘s idol group, Deep Cut. These include amiibo for Big Man, Shiver, and Frye.
If you scan the amiibo on your Nintendo Switch, you’ll be able to get exclusive gear, take photos with the characters using the game’s photo mode, and more. While Nintendo hasn’t yet confirmed the price for each amiibo, expect it to be around $14.99.

Lastly, Splatoon 3 is available now on the Nintendo Switch. The new update, “Drizzle Season 2023,” will release on September 1.
