HoYoverse revealed several new details about Genshin Impact Version 4.0 including the game’s events, story quests, and wishes. The update will be one of the biggest Genshin Impact has received in its three-year history yet.
Genshin Impact Version 4.0 allows players to continue the main story with the Traveler and Paimon. The duo head into Fontaine to learn more about the Hydro Archon, Focalors, and the story will surely take its twists and turns. Players can expect new boss battle, limited-time events, side quests, and so much more in Fontaine soon.
Genshin Impact Version 4.0 Story Quests
On August 16, Genshin Impact players will have access to Archon Quest Chapter IV: Act I Prelude of Blancheur and Noirceur, which is the start of the Fontaine storyline. In order to have access to this new story quest, players must first reach Adventure Rank 40 and complete Archon Quest Chapter III: Act VI Caribert in Sumeru. Archon Quest Chapter IV: Act II “As Light Rain Falls Without Reason” will also be available with the launch of Genshin Impact Version 4.0.
4.0 Events
Three events will be immediately available after Version 4.0 goes live. Players may explore Fontaine’s underwater sections and complete exploration quests to obtain rewards in the “Relic Records: Creations of the Hydro Nation” event. Additionally, players may earn four-star character Lynette for free by participating in the “The Curtain Never Falls on Magic” event. Further, the “Genius Invokation TCG” The Forge Realm’s Temper: Game of Wits event introduces new stages.
4.0 Wishes
Lyney will be the first new five-star Pyro character from Fontaine that may be summoned in Genshin Impact. Genshin Impact players may summon Lyney from the Conjuring Chiaroscuro event wish alongside Lynette, Barbara, and Bennett. Yelan also makes her return in the reprised Discerner of Enigmas event wish. Both wishes will be available until September 5 alongside the updated Epitome Invocation wish featuring The First Great Magic Bow five-star bow. Players may also look forward to Hydro character Neuvillette and Cryo character Wriothesley at a later date according to HoYoverse.
Finally, Genshin Impact is available now for Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Windows and Epic Games Store. HoYoverse is currently developing a Nintendo Switch version of Genshin Impact.
