Chapter 1089 Recap
Chapter 1089 featured a few different perspectives overall. It first started with a pan around the world to different islands showcasing reactions to Garp’s defeat. Additionally, an earthquake with “no parallel in history recorded” created vast destruction throughout the world. This was revealed to be a result of the attack on the Kingdom of Lulusia, which Imu ordered earlier on in the manga.
The next scene reveals the remains of the kingdom, which look eerily similar to Enies Lobby – a giant hole in the middle of the ocean. Could this be related? We then saw more effects of the earthquake, with high tide setting in and sinking multiple islands. Finally, we pan to the events of Egg-Head Island. Marines have completely surrounded the island, with one hundred ships on standby. It was then revealed that Admiral Kizaru and nine Vice Admirals were on board these 100 ships. Additionally, Jaygarcia Saturn, one of the Five Elders, was also on the ship.

She has a conversation with the Elders, ensuring they will keep their promise of making her a Celestial Dragon even though they want to eradicate Vegapunk. Then, she cries for help and asks for the Elders to save her as the Straw Hats have defeated her and are feasting with CP-0 in the background.
