    Published:

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 5 marks the beginning of a break from all-new anime episodes, but fans won’t need to wait or worry for too long. The Jujutsu Kaisen anime series recently wrapped up as viewers explored the pasts of two sorcerers with unrivaled powers.

Season 2 of the ongoing anime series began on July 6 with the first episode of the Hidden Inventory / Premature Death arc. For five consecutive episodes, Jujutsu Kaisen fans peered into the pasts of Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto as they are tasked with important missions by Tengen. Fans will need to wait until the next arc begins, however.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2: The Anime Break Explained

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will receive a total of 23 episodes, but the anime is going on a three-week break with two new compilation episodes. These compilation episodes will recap the events of the Hidden Inventory / Premature Death arc, the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie, and the anime’s first season. The first recap episode will release on August 10, and the second recap episode will release one week later on August 17. On August 24, a Jujutsu Kaisen special program will air on Japanese broadcasting networks.

Currently, the staff behind the anime, Jujutsu Kaisen Production Committee and MAPPA, are preparing for the next major story: the Shibuya Incident arc. The Shibuya Incident arc will begin with Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 6 on Thursday, August 31. This particular arc will bring Jujutsu Kaisen back to its present setting with protagonist Yuji Itadori and the rest of the crew. It’s also worth noting that the arc will run all the way to the very end of the Season 2, so fans will have plenty of new episodes to watch.

    Where to Watch Jujutsu Kaisen

Jujutsu Kaisen is available to stream now on Crunchyroll. Once more, the anime will return with Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 6 will release on August 31. Episode 6 will include a new opening theme song by King Gnu to start the Shibuya Incident arc.
