    Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Freedom Movie Reveals Voice Cast & Promo Video

    Another look into the highly anticipated SEED movie.

    Bandai Namco Filmworks and SUNRISE have revealed the Japanese voice cast for the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Freedom anime movie. Additionally, a new promo video reveals another glimpse in the movie’s story. 

    Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Freedom is the long-awaited sequel to the SEED Destiny anime series, which ran from 2004 to 2005. The new movie will pick up right from where SEED Destiny left off with Kira Yamato and Lacus Clyne serving as the two main characters once more.

    The Voice Cast of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Freedom

    Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Freedom’s staff reveal the talented voice cast performing in the new anime movie premiering in January. Several cast members will return to reprise their roles from the original SEED Destiny anime. One notable change involves the replacement of Naomi Shindoh as Cagalli. Nanako Mori will take over for Shindoh’s former role.

    Mobile Suit Gundam SEED director Mitsuo Fukuda returns to direct Freedom. Fukuda is joined by Liu Goto as co-scriptwriters, and Fukuda’s late wife Chiaki Morosawa is credited as a contributor for the script. According to Fukuda, the story was finalized in 2008, and Morosawa had fallen ill shortly after the conclusion of 2005’s SEED Destiny anime series. Further series character designer Hisashi Hirai also reprises his role for Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Freedom’s staff. 

    Lastly, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Freedom will premiere on January 26, 2024 in Japan.
