Square Enix has announced that a collaboration between Final Fantasy XIV and Fall Guys will release on August 22. The partnership will feature several new cosmetics and a brand-new Fame Pass themed around FFXIV.
Final Fantasy XIV is a massive MMORPG from Square Enix. Developed by Yoshi-P, the lead developer of Final Fantasy XVI, a new expansion is confirmed and will release in the Summer of 2024. Fall Guys, on the other hand, is a battle royale themed around an obstacle course. Both are incredibly successful games in their own right.
Final Fantasy XIV x Fall Guys
The FFXIV x Fall Guys collab will last from August 22 to October 3. The official blog post describes the costumes in vivid detail:
“Fancy twins Alphinaud and Alisaie’s Costumes have beautifully cut coats, and iconic, colourful bows that fashionistas will love. Quite a contrast to the dark, pointy armour of the Dragoon Costume. There’s nothing fishy about the Namazu Costume, despite being a catfish. Chocobo fans (basically everyone) will love being enveloped in the Fat Chocobo and Fat Black Chocobo Costumes, and there’s a wild looking Goobbue Costume that’s topped off with a mossy dome for Beastkin Beans. Finally, the White Mage Costume is an arcane aesthetic: classic white and red robe with primo hair.”
Fall Guys has also confirmed that a second blog post will release later, detailing more information about the collab. Expect to see more news about the different Emotes, Celebrations, and aesthetics themed around Final Fantasy XIV very soon. Additionally, a new update for Final Fantasy XIV will introduce a 24-player Fall Guys-themed mode. More information about the new Final Fantasy XIV activities will be announced soon.

Final Fantasy XIV is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. It will also be available soon on Xbox. Fall Guys is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. A free trial for Final Fantasy XIV featuring Heavensward is available now. Lastly, the game is free-to-play on all consoles for those who want to play Fall Guys.
