    Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.45 Now Available

    Fan Festival 2023 is around the corner.

    Square Enix have released Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.45 featuring several new side story quests, Blue Mage job quests, the Mount Rokkon variant dungeon, and so much more. Patch notes for Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.45 reveal all of the new content that fans can try after making sufficient progress in the main story.

    Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.45 is the final update before Fan Festival 2023 arrives in Las Vegas, Nevada. Game producer Naoki Yoshida will reveal new details about Patch 6.5 during Final Fantasy XIV Letter from the Producer LIVE Part LXXVIII on July 29. Before then, fans may enjoy new content introduced in Patch 6.45 today. 

    Patch 6.45 Brings New Content to Final Fantasy XIV 

    Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.45 adds a plethora of side story quests, including Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventures, Manderville Weapons, Splendorous Tools, and Variant Dungeons. The aforementioned Variant Dungeon quest will unlock Mount Rokkon and Another Mount Rokkon, a new variant dungeon and criterion dungeon. Moreover, Blue Mages may continue their own journey with a level cap increase to 80, six new quests, three new spells, Masked Carnivale stages, and a new log entries. 

    Several new items were added in Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.45, including furnishings from the Furnishing Design Contest. Players also have access to new orchestrion rolls, Triple Triad cards, hairstyles, emotes, FFXIV Weapon Design Contest items, recipes, splendorous tools enhancements, mounts, minions, and fashion accessories. Further, the patch adds various new achievements, titles, new music and sound effects, and trophies for the PlayStation 5 version.

    The patch notes are quite extensive, so its recommended to visit Lodestone to browse the full list of changes and additions. Moreover, various known issues will be addressed in a future update. A list of fixed issues and known issues for Patch 6.45 may be found below.

    Final Fantasy XIV Addressed and Known Issues
    • The following issues have been addressed.
      • An issue wherein the bar indicating that a status effect can be removed with Esuna would disappear when targeting a party member.
      • An issue in island sanctuary wherein earnings from the sale of handicrafts at the workshop could not be received.
    • Other various issues have also been addressed.
    • Known Issues
      • An issue in the sidequest “Not from Around Here” wherein the incorrect BGM will play after certain cutscenes end.
      • An issue in 6.45 sidequest cutscenes wherein certain graphics do not display properly.
      • An issue in the Heroes’ Gauntlet wherein certain graphics do not display properly.
      • An issue in the Mount Rokkon variant dungeon wherein certain graphics do not display properly.
      • An issue in the gathering log wherein the splendorous tools list does not display in the correct order.
      • An issue in the Another Mount Rokkon (Savage) criterion dungeon wherein timer-based enemy enhancement effect is incongruously named “Sewer-dweller.”
        • The effect still functions as intended.

    Lastly, Final Fantasy XIV and the latest expansion, Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, are available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
