Square Enix recently made several announcements regarding music and merchandise to commemorate the fifth anniversary of Octopath Traveler. Although no new games were announced, fans may look forward to buying new merchandise and enjoying music from the franchise.
The official Octopath Traveler series Twitter account shared new fifth anniversary artwork by series illustrator Tatsuaki Urushihara. This new artwork depicts the eight protagonists from the original Octopath Traveler game. Moreover, Square Enix made various announcements during its Octopath Traveler 5th Anniversary Official Live Stream.
New Octopath Traveler Merch, Music, and Orchestra Concert in 2024
Near the end of the fifth anniversary live stream, Square Enix made several announcements for upcoming merchandise and events. First, a new Primrose scale figure is in development with no confirmed release date or price. Further details about the figure were not revealed, but fans in Japan may pre-order new Octopath Traveler themed merchandise from the Square Enix Store. New Octopath Traveler bottles, acrylic badges, and stickers will be sold starting September 26, 2023.
Square Enix also confirms that the Octopath Traveler Break, Boost, and Beyond Live! album is now available on several music streaming platforms. This particular album includes 18 different arrangements of Octopath Traveler music that fans may enjoy. Moreover, a second volume of Break, Boost, and Beyond Live! will be produced, and a special orchestra concert will be held in spring 2024. Octopath Traveler Orchestra Concert -To travel is to live- will feature music from Octopath Traveler, Octopath Traveler II, and the Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent mobile game. Further details about the concert were not revealed, however.
