Toei Animation and PUBG Mobile publishers Krafton and Level Infinite announce the Dragon Ball Super collaboration event begins on July 13. PUBG Mobile players can expect new DBS-themed content such as a new map, character skins, and much more.
The Dragon Ball Super collaboration event will launch alongside the PUBG Mobile version 2.7 update. This particular update will bring a plethora of content for the collaboration and improvements to the game’s existing Classic Mode. PUBG Mobile’s official Twitter account revealed more details about the update and what Dragon Ball fans can expect in both July and August 2023.
Dragon Ball Super x PUBG Mobile Collaboration
PUBG Mobile version 2.7 will introduce the new Dragon Ball Super collaboration event with two new themed modes and an anime-style map on July 13. In the first Dragon Ball Super themed mode, players may collect Dragon Balls to summon Shenron and receive powerful buffs similarly to Piccolo’s wish from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. Dragon Ball-themed items such as Senzu Beans, a Dragon Radar, and an air car will also be available on the map.
The second Dragon Ball Super mode is a special version of the signature battle royale mode, allowing players to spawn in one of classic Dragon Ball Super characters: Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Frieza and Ultimate Gohan. Each character has unique abilities that may be upgraded by collecting Spirit Crystals. Moreover, players may make use of several new traversal options such as Teleport points and Updraft.
Starting July 14, several Dragon Ball outfits and items will be available in the PUBG Mobile shop. More details about the DBS and PUBG Mobile partnership will be revealed on August 11, so players can expect more content to come soon.
Dragon Ball fans may also look forward to the Dragon Ball Special Exhibition during San Diego Comic Con 2023. The event will feature official news and merchandise for the prolific series. San Diego Comic Con 2023 will be active from July 20 to July 23 at the San Diego Convention Center.
