Bandai Namco revealed new details about the upcoming release of Sword Art Online: Last Recollection including various editions, the Season Pass DLC, and pre-orders. Eager Sword Art Online fans may pre-order the game right now to receive a special bonus.
As previously discussed, the Sword Art Online: Last Recollection standard edition will be sold for $59.99 on all platforms. Today, Bandai Namco revealed an $84.99 Deluxe Edition and a $99.99 Ultimate Edition. The Deluxe Edition includes the base game and Season Pass, and the Ultimate Edition includes Deluxe Edition contents alongside a digital soundtrack and digital artbook. Pre-orders for all three of these editions are available right now. Digital pre-orders include an exclusive weapon skin set, which will be available for purchase at a later date.
The Season Pass may be purchased separately for $29.99, granting customers access to two new DLC packs. Additionally, each DLC pack will sold separately for $14.99. Players can expect additional characters and dungeons in each DLC pack. More details about the DLC will be revealed at a later date.

- Standard Edition ($59.99): Includes the Base Game and is now available for pre-order.
- Deluxe Edition ($84.99): Includes the Base Game and Season Pass and is now available for pre-order.
- Ultimate Edition ($99.99): Includes the Base Game, Digital Soundtrack, Digital Artbook and Season Pass and is now available to pre-order until November 11.
- Season Pass ($29.99): Features immediate access to DLC 1 and DLC 2, once they’re available for download.
- DLC 1 ($14.99): Brings additional characters from the game’s original cast of heroines and dungeons in December, including Strea, Philia, Rain and Seven.
- DLC 2 ($14.99): Brings additional characters from the game’s original cast of heroines and dungeons in April, including Premiere, Tiam, Kureha, Zeliska and Medina.
- Ultimate Upgrade ($24.99): Available for Steam only at launch, this upgrade features the Digital Soundtrack, Digital Artbook and Weapons Skin Set.
- Pre-Order Bonus ($4.99): Available for purchase 35 days after launch.

Sword Art Online: Last Recollection is one of the featured titles during the Bandai Namco Summer Showcase, which will be held during Anime Expo 2023 on July 1 from 4:30 – 6:00pm PT in Petree Hall. Lead producers Yosuke Futami and Eisuke Ueno will reveal an all-new trailer alongside new character and weapon assets. Fans may tune into the event on the official Anime Expo 2023 Twitch channel.
Lastly, Sword Art Online: Last Recollection launches October 5 in Japan and October 6 worldwide for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
