Seven Achievements Added to Resident Evil 4 on Steam

    Separate Ways is inbound.

Spotted by Wario64, it seems that Capcom could be gearing up to release Resident Evil 4 DLC. Seven new achievements were added to the Resident Evil 4 Steam listing this morning, which could indicate a DLC drop is inbound. As for what content this could be, most of the community agrees that a remake of Separate Ways is most likely coming to the RE4 remake.

There aren’t any descriptions of these new Resident Evil 4 achievements, but they do exist on Steam as achievements 40-46. The changes were enacted on June 26 at 9:52:11 UTC. It’s likely that this is in preparation for release, which could be as soon as this week. It is puzzling why this announcement was not at Summer Game Fest, but we’re just happy to see that we might get more content for RE4 so soon.

After the game was released, references to the Separate Ways DLC from the original game were found in the data mines. Many speculated that this would mean we’d receive a remake of this content, which was further echoed by numerous insiders on the topic known for their Resident Evil track record. While we don’t have a concrete date for when this DLC could be announced, it is assuredly coming soon with this listing. We saw something very similar happen with Hi-Fi Rush just before the Xbox Showcase.

Resident Evil 4 (2023) is a remake of the 2005 all-time classic Resident Evil 4. It was released on March 24, 2023, and revealed at the PlayStation State of Play in June 2022. The title has been remade for modern hardware, taking advantage of the RE Engine and its features. RE4 sees Leon Kennedy take to a remote village in Spain, where he is tasked with saving the President’s daughter, Ashley. We had a grand time with the game and felt it was a perfect recreation of one of horror’s greatest titles.
