Famitsu announced its July 13, 2023 issue includes a cover story for Spike Chunsoft and Too Kyo Games’ upcoming detective-mystery game, Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE. The new issue launches on Thursday, June 29, just one day before the launch of Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE.
The July 13 Famitsu issue includes a 22-page special feature about Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE. This particular feature goes over information about the game’s systems including Investigations and Mystery Labyrinth. Moreover, the feature includes bios for various Master Detectives and supporting characters from Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE. Famitsu also confirms that the new issue will include interviews with scenario writer Kazutaka Kodaka and Spike Chunsoft producer Shohei Sakakibara. Readers may purchase the new issue on Amazon Japan, and additional fees apply for worldwide shipping.
In the Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE, Yuma Kokohead (Lucien Dodge) and Shinigami (Anjali Kunapaneni) enter Kanai Ward and begin their investigation into a grand mystery. Players will uncover clues in the game’s Investigation and Mystery Labyrinth sequences. As Yuma, players will search for clues, also called Solution Keys, and progress a case. Eventually, Yuma and Shinigami will have enough clues to enter a Mystery Labyrinth and pursue the truth of the case.
