    Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 Launches October 24, Switch Version Confirmed

    Snake returns to Nintendo platforms.

    Konami announced Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 launches on October 24 worldwide. During the June 21 Nintendo Direct, Konami also confirmed that the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

    Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 includes the original Metal Gear Solid game, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Moreover, the collection includes Metal Gear (MSX, NES), Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (MSX), and Metal Gear: Snake’s Revenge (NES). The original Metal Gear Solid title will include VR Missions and Special Missions, and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater are based off of their HD Collection versions.

    Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Comes to Switch 

    Nintendo and Konami revealed Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 is coming to the hybrid platform, and the official website has been updated with more details about the new collection. Alongside six Metal Gear titles, players will have access to digital “Master” books, digital screenplay books, fully voiced digital graphic novels, and various digital soundtracks. These bonus items feature additional commentary, screenshots, concept artwork, music, and much more about the prolific series.

    Moreover, Konami confirms that Metal Gear SolidMetal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater may be purchased separately. However, Metal Gear (MSX, NES), Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (MSX), and Metal Gear: Snake’s Revenge are exclusive to the collection. Pre-orders include three bonus music tracks: THE BEST IS YET TO COME (Master Collection ver.), CAN’T SAY GOODBYE TO YESTERDAY (Master Collection ver.), and SNAKE EATER (Master Collection ver.).

    Metal Gear Solid: PeacewalkerMetal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, and more Metal Gear titles may come in another volume. The existence of a first volume surely implies that a second volume will be released. However, titles such as Peacewalker and Metal Gear Solid 4 have not been officially confirmed by Konami, so fans must wait for more official news.
