Ryu’s Office announced the INDIE Live Expo “Summer Spotlight” showcase is set for July 31 PDT / August 1 JST. The upcoming showcase will feature even more indie game announcement and updates nearly two months removed from May’s INDIE Live Expo 2023.
The upcoming INDIE Live Expo Summer Spotlight showcase will bring new indie game announcement and updates on existing titles that were previously revealed. Indie gaming fans can also expect the debut of new developers joining the industry. In addition, the quick-fire INDIE Waves segment returns from INDIE Live Expo 2023 featuring dedicated deep dives on select indie games from around the world.
“Amazing indies games are launching all year without getting the support they deserve, and we want to give another opportunity for developers and publishers to show off their work during the summer,” said Ryuta Konuma, Founder of Ryu’s Office. “We are forever grateful for the viewers who allowed us to grow at an unimaginable speed, along with the undying support of sponsors and partners who make INDIE Live Expo possible.”

During INDIE Live Expo 2023, Needy Streamer Overload developer and publisher Why So Serious revealed new horror adventure game Boyhood’s End. Meg’s Monster developer and Odencat revealed its upcoming project Dream Channel Zero, a “surreal adventure” title inspired by retro NES and SNES games. Additionally, Palworld developer Pocketpair revealed Never Grave: The Witch and The Curse, a new side-scrolling Metroidvania roguelike game launching by the end of the year.
Moreover, PLAYISM announced the release date of from Madness with Love, a new otome visual novel coming to PC (Steam) on July 18. Happinet is publishing a new Nintendo Switch version of artist adventure game Passpartout 2: The Lost Artist. What’s more, Kodansha is also preparing the version 1.0 update for BOKURA, which is coming to Steam, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android on August 10.
