Koei Tecmo, Omega Force, and Type-Moon announced action RPG Fate/Samurai Remnant launches on September 28 in Japan and September 29 worldwide. The upcoming title will be available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
A new Fate story begins in Fate/Samurai Remnant, which is set in the Edo period of Japan. The mysterious “Waxing Moon Ritual” will be a crucial element of the action RPG’s story. Like prior Fate titles, Fate/Samurai Remnant’s protagonist is a master involved in a Holy Grail War. PlayStation Japan accidentally leaked an official trailer for the upcoming title, revealing the game’s release date and physical editions for Japan. Moreover, several Servants will be featured in the new title, including Jeanne Alter.
Fate/Samurai Remnant Physical Editions
The latest trailer reveals that Fate/Samurai Remnant will be sold physically and digitally, and various physical editions were revealed for Japan. Additionally, pre-orders for the upcoming game include an additional bonus costume for Musashi Miyamoto, one of the Fate/Samurai Remnant’s playable Servants. A “Treasure Box” Edition will be sold for 17,380 yen featuring a new short story booklet, a set of seven Master sigils, a B2 poster, and a one-disc original soundtrack.
Furthermore, a Treasure Box + DX Figure Set will be sold featuring all Treasure Box Edition contents and a 1/7th scale figure of Musashi Miyamoto. For players that prefer digital copies, a Digital Deluxe Edition will be sold for 17,028 yen. Digital Deluxe Edition contents include a digital artbook, digital soundtrack, Season Pass featuring DLCs 1 through 3, and the Hallowed Relic Sword Mountings.
Koei Tecmo confirms that Fate/Samurai Remnant Treasure Box and Digital Deluxe Editions will also be sold in the west. Pre-orders will be available soon digitally and physically at participating retailers. The English official website is live with a product page that will be updated once pre-orders are live.
Further, the Japanese official website is now live, revealing that Fate/Samurai Remnant will be participating in Fate/Grand Order Fes 2023 in an official stage show. The Fate/Samurai Remnant Stage at FGO Fes 2023 will be held at 11:15 JST on July 29 at the Makuhari Messe venue in Chiba, Japan. Presenters for the show include producer Tomohiko Sho, Iori Miyamoto voice actor Kengo Kawanishi, and Saber voice actress Hibiku Yamamura.
