Who is Kazuya Takahashi?
Kazuya Takahashi is an extremely talented artist that works at Square Enix. He has done everything from creating amazing artwork to character designs.
What’s His Role in FFXVI?
Kazuya Takahashi is the Main Character Designer. He is responsible for the designing the look of the characters from their faces to the clothes that they wear. Clive, Joshua, Jill, Barnabas, Benedikta, and more characters were his responsibility to design.
Takahashi was also responsible for the designs of the Eikons. He has designed these large and beastly creatures and tied them in design wise with their Dominants. He has displayed clear skill in both creature and character design. What else has he done.
Much of the concept artwork was also handled by Takahashi. Many of the game’s areas are portrayals based on his visionary concept art.
What Has He Worked on Previously?
It has been difficult to find much information, but Takahashi has done a lot of artwork for Final Fantasy XIV. It seems he has also been responsible for some of the Character Design in the expansions as well. From what I can find, he may have also worked on Final Fantasy X as a Visual Effects artist on the 3D maps (IMDB).
