Square Enix has released one of the main tracks from Final Fantasy XVI, titled “Find the Flame,” across streaming services. This track has appeared in multiple trailers for the game thus far.
“Find the Flame” is composed by Masayoshi Soken, who is the Main Composer of Final Fantasy XVI. Soken is best known for his work on the Final Fantasy XIV game and expansions, which, like FFXVI, were also done at Creative Business Unit III.
“Find the Flame” Available Now on Spotify, Apple Music, and More
This is the first track from the Final Fantasy XVI soundtrack to be released. Physical releases of the original soundtrack will be released on July 19, 2023. Below is a link to each of the services this track is available on.
Masayoshi Soken stated on Twitter that “Find the Flame” is referred to as “Clive’s theme song in [his] department.” It encompasses the power of the Eikons and looks to provide a small taste of what the original soundtrack will be like.
Final Fantasy XVI Releases on June 22, 2023
We’re quickly approaching the launch of Final Fantasy XVI, the next mainline title in the long-running and beloved RPG series. The game is being developed by Creative Business Unit III, which is responsible for the critically-acclaimed Final Fantasy XIV.
Clive Rosfield is the main protagonist of the title, voiced by Ben Starr. He is the only playable character, as the game has a high action focus, or at least more so than previous Final Fantasy titles. Combat design has been directed by Ryota Suzuki, who was a key member of the Devil May Cry 5 and Dragon’s Dogma combat design teams.
Final Fantasy XVI is a PlayStation 5 exclusive. The game is set to be released on PC later on; however, there is no confirmation of any other platform at this time. A Pre-Launch Celebration Stream is scheduled for this Sunday, June 11.
