SEGA have released the highly anticipated version 2.0 “Creative Space” update for online action RPG Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. Players may earn a special bonus to celebrate the new Sonic the Hedgehog collaboration, and Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis will have a presence at Anime Expo 2023 on July 1 to 4.
At Anime Expo 2023, SEGA will sell official Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis merchandise including exclusive t-shirts and badges. Fans may rep their status as an ARKS operative by buying the new merchandise and participating in new in-game events. Moreover, fans may visit the official website and sign-up to the game’s official newsletter to earn Sonic Adventure 2 Shoes. SEGA will distribute in-game codes for Sonic shoes through their newsletter on June 14. Anyone who signs up before June 14 will receive the bonus cosmetic for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis.
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Version 2.0 Content
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Version 2.0 introduces Creative Space, a major evolution of the Personal Quarters feature from the original PSO 2. Players may utilize Build Parts, combine Build Parts with the Connect System, save designs, and much more in their virtual home. Build Parts may be purchased with Genesis Points (GP), which are obtained from the GP Tree located in the Creative Space and acquired from Weekly Tasks and Limited-time Tasks provided by Arche, the ARKS Architectural Researcher. Fans can also expect remade PSO2 items for Creative Space, and a Sonic the Hedgehog collaboration pack featuring new Build Parts is available now in the AC Shop. There’s much more to experience in version 2.0, however.
Alongside Creative Space, the version 2.0 update brings a new cel-shading feature, portable Holograms, new skills for classes, quality of life improvements, ‘Easy’ Photo Mode, and much more. Additionally, Chapter 6 Part 1 of the main story will be available as Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis players search for Manon. Fans can expect more new events and content in subsequent updates launching throughout June 2023.
Lastly, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store, Windows, and Steam.
