Nippon Ichi Software released a new trailer for “superpowers x academy” RPG Xicatrice introducing the game’s features and systems. The trailer provides more gameplay footage ahead of Xicatrice’s launch later this month.
High school students will live their ordinary lives in between deadly missions in Xicatrice. The constant looming threats appear to be caused by the students’ past trauma and their own superpowers. These students must overcome their trauma to avoid losing control and turning into abnormal users. This process includes facing off against Doppels, which are virtual manifestations of a user’s unconscious and psyche. Students must persevere the ordeals placed in front of them to finally move on with their lives.
The new “Systems” trailer for Xicatrice is narrated by Tomohito Takatsuka, the voice actor for the game’s protagonist. Lessons, combat, skill builds, and much more are introduced in this near six-minute long Xicatrice trailer. Fans can expect more trailers leading into launch day on Thursday, June 29.
