SNK have announced an open beta test for The King of Fighters XIII Global Match, which features rollback netcode. The open beta test will be held from June 5 at 7 p.m. PDT / 10 p.m. EDT to June 11 at 7 p.m. PDT / 10 p.m. EDT.
This particular open beta test will be the first for The King of Fighters XIII Global Match, so more tests may come at later dates. PlayStation 4 players have access to the open beta test by visiting the PlayStation Store, and SNK confirms the title is backwards compatible on PlayStation 5. A PlayStation Plus membership is not required to play.
SNK plans on testing the quality of The King of Fighters XIII Global Match’s online features during the first open beta test. Online lobbies, spectating, Options Mode, and Customize Mode will be accessible. Additionally, Practice Mode is available while waiting for opponents in Online Mode.

Open Beta Test Details
This test is aimed at improving the quality of the game’s online features. It’s free to play even without a PlayStation Plus subscription.
Test Period: Monday, June 5th (7 PM PDT) – Sunday, June 11th (7 PM PDT)
Platform: PlayStation 4, also playable on PlayStation 5.
