Nintendo and Monolith Soft have announced that brand new Xenoblade Chronicles icons are headed to Nintendo Switch Online! The first wave of these icons is available now, and includes all the characters from the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass! This includes both heroes that were added in Wave 2 & Wave 3, Ino and Masha, as well as the entire main cast of Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed. You can check out some of the new icons available below, in the Wave 1 promotional poster.
Back around Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s original release, Nintendo released icons for the game that covered the entire cast including heroes. Unfortunately, Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 were both released too early before the Nintendo Switch Online icon system began. Now, Nintendo is finally going to release icons from those two games as a part of this package of Xenoblade icons.
Wave 2 looks to add characters from Xenoblade Chronicles, with the art of Shulk and the art of Fiora (strangely her artwork from Xenoblade Chronicles 2) displayed as the teaser. Wave 3 is Xenoblade Chronicles 2 week, with Rex and Pyra teased. Wave 4 is chibi-styled Riku and Ethel from Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and Wave 5 is N and M’s official artwork.
Earlier this year, multiple releases of soundtracks for the Xenoblade Chronicles series were announced. First, a Limited Edition and Standard Edition of Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s soundtrack. Next, a release for Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition, since it was yet to release after the game’s launch in May 2020. Finally, a special ‘Trinity Box’ set was revealed that contains music from all three of the Xenoblade Chronicles titles and their expansions.
