PlayStation India Hero Project Program Announced

Based on the highly successful China Hero Project.

Sony Interactive Entertainment announced PlayStation India Hero Project, a new incubator program based on its highly successful China Hero Project. This new program aims to empower Indian game developers with resources that will allow them to create major titles in the future.

Previously, Sony’s China Hero Project supported a number of high-profile titles during development including Lost Soul Aside and ANNO: Mutationem. In the case of Lost Soul Aside and Convallaria, PlayStation offered publishing duties for the new titles. PlayStation India Hero Project offers a similar initiative for game developers in India in order to bring their games to players around the world.

For 20 years, PlayStation has proudly brought compelling entertainment experiences to the Indian gaming community. It has been exciting to see the evolution of the market over this time, and we are more excited than ever for what’s to come.

Today, we are thrilled to announce the India Hero Project. This incubator program aims to identify promising local developers and support them in bringing compelling gaming experiences to global gaming communities.

As part of our evolving journey to ensure that PlayStation remains the best place to play, we’re committed to developing regional incubator programs capable of identifying new and diverse developers worldwide. The India Hero Project is fueled by this commitment and our belief in the Indian gaming market.

Through mentorship, training, and project-based investment, PlayStation strives to lower the barrier of entry and showcase the most incredible talents emerging from India. We’re pleased to announce this new initiative and our call for submissions.

Interested companies of any size should apply to the program by reading the FAQ and applying here. To apply, companies must be an India-based game developer, able to register as a PlayStation Registered Developer.

While space is limited, we want to welcome new voices, ideas, and experiences from the Indian Game Development Community. Once you have completed the submission, our team will contact you to confirm the next steps.
