One of the key features of Trinity Trigger is that you can play the vast majority of the game with Local Co-op! That makes this game a rare breed that you seldom see; a traditional Action RPG that you can play with friends. Use our Trinity Trigger Multiplayer Guide to learn how to play the game with your friends!
How to Unlock Multiplayer
This function is incredibly easy to unlock as it unlocks through normal story progression! Once you reach Hoplard and get Zantis to join your team, you’re all set! Just open your menu and go down to the ‘Co-op Play’ Option.
Multiplayer Benefits
Coordinating with real people is way better than trying to rely on brain-dead AI companions. Well, hopefully. The CPUs constantly run into enemy attacks and traps, so if you have a semi-skilled group of buddies you should be better off than that! You won’t have to constantly swap allies and change their weapons for them.
Defy Destiny, together! Go out there and really showcase the power of friendship in a quite literal fashion.
Multiplayer Cons
The menus still pause the action which can be jarring or could lead to some people constantly doing it on purpose. If you’re like me and talk to every NPC, your pals may not like your thoroughness and nudge you toward doing the main quest. The main con is that whoever gets to play as Zantis gets screwed out of weapon variety for a large portion of the game. So that means you wanna do a lot of sidequests later, also meaning possibly dealing with impatient compatriots.
