    Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC Featured on May 2023 Famitsu Issue

    Famitsu revealed its May 2023 magazine issue includes a cover story for the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Violet “Hidden Treasure of Area Zero” DLC. The upcoming Famitsu issue is an extensive combined issue (May 4, May 11, and May 18) with several updates on upcoming games. 

    The May 2023 combined issue of Famitsu includes a retrospective feature on the base game of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Readers may also expect some new details about the upcoming Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC. Further, the issue’s appendix includes a sticker sheet with various characters from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. New details about Pokémon UNITE, Ys X: Nordics, and Arcana Paradise: The Tower will also be published in the new issue.

    The new issue launches on April 20 for 620 yen, and pre-orders are currently available now on Amazon Japan with worldwide shipping. However, customers outside of Japan can expect additional fees due to importing costs. Since the new issue is combines three weeks worth of Famitsu magazine releases, readers can expect the following issue to release in the second week of May 2023.

    Alongside the Famitsu reveal, The Pokémon Company teased a mysterious new Pokémon appearing in both the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC and the ongoing anime, Pokémon Horizons: The Series. In the anime, Liko’s unique pendant transforms into this new Pokémon and immediately reverts back after protecting her. This new Pokémon appears to be similar to Legendary Pokémon Terapagos, but its exact origins, name, and true nature are unknown. 

    Lastly, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is available now for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
