Nintendo announced the first-ever Eggstra Work in-game event for online multiplayer shooter Splatoon 3 begins on April 14. The new event will essentially see Splatoon 3 players working overtime for rewards.
The first Splatoon 3 Eggstra Work event will last from April 14 at 5 p.m. PDT to April 16 at 5 p.m. PDT on the Sockeye Station stage. Each Salmon Run session will have five waves with the same objectives: defeat enemies and secure Golden Eggs. All participants will receive a sticker for completing a Salmon Run session during Eggstra Work, but the best performers will receive better stickers.
During the Eggstra Work event, Splatoon 3 players will also be competing to rank among the best performers in Salmon Run. Players that land in the top 50%, top 20%, and top 5% will receive better stickers for their performance. This means players will need to coordinate efforts with their friends in order to achieve their best possible Salmon Run sessions and climb the ranks.
Here’s a rundown of the upcoming event via Nintendo:
Employees looking to pick up Eggstra Work are in luck! Join in the corporate Grizzco fun by creating a team with friends or players in your Pool and trying to collect the most Golden Eggs. Eggstra Work will be available from 5pm PT on 4/14 to 5pm PT on 4/16.
Remember—all employees who participate in Eggstra Work will receive a commemorative sticker. And top performers will receive a better sticker! But don’t just do it for the sticker. Do it for the love of Grizzco and Golden Eggs!
Lastly, Splatoon 3 is available now for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
